AMCS Of The Midwest (AMCSOTM), is a Midwestern car club that was formed in 2017 to appreciate and promote the automobiles produced by the American Motors Corporation. A regional chapter of both The AMC Rambler Club (AMCRC) & the American Motors Owners Association (AMO), national organizations supporting the preservation and enjoyment of American Motors vehicles.
All branches of the AMC family are welcome, including the parent & heritage companies that merged to create AMC (Nash, Ajax, Dover, LaFayette, Hudson, Essex, Terraplane), the companies AMC acquired after formation (Kaiser Jeep & AM General), companies that AMC partnered with (Renault & Fiat), the subsidiary companies that continued using either AMC model names, parts or platforms (Eagle, & Jeep) any foreign divisions of AMC (V.A.M. – Vehículos Automotores Mexicanos, I.K.A. – Industrias Kaiser Argentina) and any Ramblers built outside of the U.S. (Iran, South Africa, Canada & Australia). They also welcome non AMC models from any of the orphan companies that were either merged to create the AMC parent companies or were intended to (Jeffery, Packard, Kaiser, Willys, Overland, Studebaker).
Earlier this year, they had 68 members and 105 cars in the club and members from 13 states and are based out of Bellevue, Ne. That number has grown. AMCSOTM participates in various auto related events throughout the year. Club events & meetings are held on select Sunday afternoons at Don & Millie’s restaurant, located at 2208 Pratt Avenue, Bellevue, Nebraska 68123.
They cover all of the U.S. Midwest (NE, IA, KS, MO, MN, ND, SD, MI, WI, IL, IN, OH) and welcome anyone who has a genuine interest in the restoration, preservation and admiration of cars produced by AMC. Ownership of an AMC vehicle is not required to join AMCSOTM. Membership in the parent clubs of AMCRC & AMO is very strongly encouraged, but also not necessary to join.
AMCSOTM publishes a digital quarterly newsletter called Dispatches from the Midwest four times a year.
